Wendy Dekker-Garms is driven to assist her clients in developing useful IP strategies. Based on the experience of working more than 15 years as a patent attorney in several offices, ranging from small to large, she is very well capable advising on all aspects of patents, designs and trademarks.

Wendy joined IPecunia Patents in 2014 for setting up the mechanics/electronics department as well as the designs and trademarks department.

Wendy’s expertise is in the field of mechanical engineering and constructional engineering. She works for companies which are very different as far as their technological activities are concerned. Her contact with clients is characterized by a no-nonsense approach. Besides that, Wendy is very accurate and never loses sight of her clients’ interests.

Wendy graduated from the Eindhoven University of Technology in mechanical engineering, specializing in automotive technology. She also obtained a certificate from the business administration department.

In 1999, Wendy started her career in the field of IP. She became a registered Dutch and European patent attorney in 2002.

Wendy is active as a tutor at the Dutch training institute for patent attoneys. In this function, she teaches trainees how to draft and amend patent applications and how to reply to objections raised by official authorities. Her work as a tutor puts her in a position for passing on both her passion for IP and her high performance standards to future colleague attorneys.
